Designing an Agile Model for the Organizational Structure of the Ministry of Health of the Islamic Republic of Iran

Organizational structure agility is recognized as one of the key components in improving the performance of government organizations. Given the rapid changes in economic, political, and social environments, organizations are looking for solutions to increase their flexibility and efficiency. In this regard, the main objective of this study is to design an organizational structure agility model for the Ministry of Industry, Mines, and Trade of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
First, by reviewing the literature and previous studies, the researcher identified two main categories: the requirements and prerequisites of structural agility, as well as its consequences and outcomes. Then, using qualitative interviews with 13 experts in the Ministry of Industry, Mines, and Academic Experts, the organizational structure agility model was localized to suit this ministry. The results of this study showed that the designed model includes four main categories: structural agility requirements, outcomes and consequences, facilitating factors, and obstacles and challenges of structural agility. This research has identified the requirements and prerequisites for creating an agile structure in the Ministry of Health and also examined the existing obstacles and challenges. Through this, practical solutions are provided to improve the agility of the organizational structures of the Ministry of Health.
