The purpose of this study was to validate a digital leadership model in the Iranian banking industry by identifying key components and assessing the fit of the proposed conceptual model. This research employed a descriptive-survey design and was applied in nature. The statistical population included experts and employees from selected Iranian banks. Using cluster random sampling and Cochran’s formula, 340 participants were selected. Data collection was conducted through a researcher-made questionnaire, with face validity confirmed and reliability assessed via Cronbach's alpha (0.88). Structural equation modeling (SEM) using Smart PLS3 was used for data analysis. Thirteen core components of digital leadership were identified. Results indicated that components such as “cybersecurity and privacy leadership” significantly influenced others, including “data-driven leadership” (β = 0.633), “cultural and human leadership” (β = 0.523), and “financial and entrepreneurial digital leadership” (β = 0.650). The overall model fit (GOF) was calculated at 0.485, indicating a strong model fit. Additionally, R², Q², and factor loadings were all within acceptable thresholds, supporting the robustness of the model. The proposed digital leadership model demonstrates good fit and predictive power. It offers a comprehensive framework for developing digital leadership strategies within the Iranian banking sector and provides practical guidance for strategic planning and policy formulation.
