Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and content production, analyzing its role in the development of the tourism industry. This research employs a qualitative approach using the Grounded Theory method. Data were collected through purposive analysis of scientific texts related to tourism and ICT. The coding process consisted of open, axial, and selective stages, and data analysis was conducted using MAXQDA software. The final analysis resulted in 273 initial concepts and 32 categories, which were grouped into six themes: causal conditions, contextual factors, intervening conditions, core categories, strategies, and consequences. The results reveal that the relationship between ICT and purposeful content production significantly influences tourist trust, enhances travel experience quality, facilitates electronic tourism development, and supports smart destination management. Additionally, media platforms and online services play a vital role in tourism facilitation and destination governance. The conceptual model developed in this study demonstrates that ICT, in conjunction with effective content production, plays a critical role in the sustainable development of the tourism industry. Strategic use of digital marketing, user behavior analysis, and precise policy-making can lead to improved service quality, greater tourist engagement, and stronger destination branding.
